PROCESS SAFETY & RISK MANAGEMENT
Indian Chemical Engineer (ICE) is the flagship journal of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) - an apex professional body of chemical engineers in India, both in industry and academia. Published quarterly each year, during its over half a decade journey, ICE has strived to gradually refurbish itself by re-evolving the content offering without deviating from its basic character and by adopting distinctly a new get up and layout. ICE is published by M/s Taylor and Francis LLC, UK for marketing, promotion and sale of ICE in both print and online editions for the international readers.
ICE publishes original contributions by internationally renowned academicians and professionals in the form of fundamental research works, interpretative reviews and discussion on new developments in all areas of chemical engineering and allied fields. It also includes impartial, generic articles, or an overview of a technology intended to provide guidance to practicing professionals along with updates on industry news, latest/future trends and socially relevant issues. Special Issues on innovative subjects/areas of interest to Chemical Engineering professionals are also published at regular intervals by ICE.
Continuing with this tradition, ICE will publish a special issue on the topic "Process Safety & Risk Management". Process Safety & Risk Management, though kick started after the unfortunate incident of gas leak at Bhopal, India in December 1984 (December is anniversary month), is now rapidly developing and has evolved as a subject which is central to the well being of the chemical process industries. Interested authors are encouraged to contribute their original work in this field which will no doubt be a due recognition in the area of Health, Safety & Environment.
