IIChE welcomes all the Organisations and Institutions interested in development of chemical engineering
profession may become to its fold. They may become organisational members of the institute subject to
fulfillment certain eligibility criteria and completion of other formalities.
Criteria for becoming Organizational Member:
Organizations and Institutions interested in development of Chemical Engineering profession and its
application to Chemical industries may be elected Organizational Members as prescribed in Clause 13.5
in the Constitution.
Organizational Members shall be from (a) Chemical and Allied industries including service industries, (b)
Research Institutions engaged in R&D activities related to Chemical Engineering Science and Technology,
(c) Academic Institutions engaged in education, training and research related to the Chemical
Engineering profession, and (d) Organizations serving the profession of chemical engineering. The
decision of the Council in the above matter shall be final.

Rights and Privileges for IIChE Organisational Members
Profile of the company (with turnover over Rs. 10 crore) or its CEO will be printed in IIChE Newsletter
- Organisational Members will receive a certificate of membership on enrolment.
- Maximum four delegates (depending upon the annual turnover of the Organisational Member) will
be allowed to attend the annual conferences of the Institute (CHEMCON), waiving the requirement of
the delegate fees.
Organisational Members will receive a copy of the Institute’s Journal, INDIAN CHEMICAL ENGINEER,
and the Institute Newsletter.
Organisational Members will be allowed to use IIChE logo in their letterheads.
They shall be kept informed of all programmes of the Institute regularly and their official delegates
shall be allowed in programmes, such as, short-term technical courses, continuing education courses,
technical symposia, seminars, etc., involving delegate fees at a concessional fee of 75% of the normal
rates for such programmes. IIChE Regional Centres shall be advised to do likewise for programmes
organised by them.
