The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers continues
to strengthen its institutional
framework through sustained efforts in governance, member engagement, and
professional outreach. Over the past quarter, we have focused on reinforcing the
operational effectiveness of our Regional Centres and Student Chapters, which
remain the backbone of IIChE’s vibrant professional ecosystem.
A key priority has been enhancing coordination across our Chapters to ensure greater
alignment with the Institute’s national objectives. Several knowledge-driven initiatives,
including technical
lectures, training programmes, and collaborative events with academia and industry, have
witnessed
encouraging participation, reflecting the growing relevance of IIChE as a platform for
professional exchange
and capacity building.
On the governance front, the Institute has been actively progressing on key decisions emanating
from the
National Council meetings, with efforts underway to streamline operation processes, strengthen
member
services, and introduce more structured engagement mechanisms with stakeholders. We are also
placing
renewed emphasis on expanding our membership base, particularly among young professionals and
students,
to nurture the next generation of chemical engineers.
